Virtual Gym: Pull Up

Starting Position:

  1. Step onto the foot platform and grasp the handles shoulder width apart with palms facing forward.
  2. Stand up tall, head up and maintain a neutral spine.


Movement:

  1. Contracting the upper back muscles, pull your body up stopping just before the handles are parallel with your shoulders.
  2. Slowly return to the starting position stopping just short of your arms fully extending.


Key Points :

  • Exhale while pulling up.
  • Inhale while returning to the starting position.
  • Do not allow your lower body to hyperextend.
  • Variation: Use a narrower grip.
