weight loss success storiesLisa R. was sick and tired of carting around an extra 100 pounds. She was bogged down physically and mentally -- and desperate for a slimmer, trimmer figure.

Like millions of other overweight men and women, Lisa had been looking for loss in all the wrong places. From Phen Phen to liquid diets, she had tried one unhealthy choice after another. Nothing helped banish the extra baggage... most of which she had packed on in just six short months.

At 58 and 235 pounds, the 31-year-old West Virginian was at the end of her rope. Lisa, a stay-at-home mom, felt horrible and her feelings of hopelessness only fueled her emotional eating habit. It wasn't unusual for her to sit down at the computer and munch an entire bag of chips in one sitting.

So when all else failed what could possibly transform this unhappy, unhealthy serial dieter into an eDiets cover girl? What could help her drop 37 pounds in less than four months and go from a size 24 to a size 14?

The simple solution: eDiets plan inspired by Dr. Phil McGraw.

What Lisa needed all along was the anti-diet... a program that would provide her with a sensible eating program, fitness guidance, round-the-clock support and, most of all, motivation. Only a program that addressed both the physical and emotional aspects of weight loss would get her on the right track.

ediets with Dr. Phil Lisa heaps a lot of praise on Dr. Phil McGraw. She was a huge fan of the tough-talking doctor's TV show. She often identified with Dr. Phil's guests, especially the ones who were overweight like herself. When Dr. Phil talked, Lisa listened.

Last September, Lisa bought a copy of the Ultimate Weight Solution (Free Press) and quickly discovered a whole new approach to healthy living.

It wasnt about points or potions. No, this time around she would address the issues that really mattered. The book piqued her interest, but Lisa struck gold twice when she stumbled upon a banner ad for the Shape Up! Program.

I loved it," she tells eDiets. "I signed up for it that very day. I hoped it would work for me... and it has. I would have never dreamed I'd come this far in that short amount of time."

Even at 198 pounds, Lisa is happy with her progress. At her highest weight, she couldnt even walk once around the park without breaking into tears. She was a failure at exercise and hadnt even tried her hand at healthy eating. She needed to attack the extra weight with a proven one-two punch.

According to Lisa, the members of eDietshas been an incentive for Lisa to follow the meal, drink her water and exercise regularly.

"The challenges have kept me motivated," she says. "They also keep my spirits up. Im competitive so I want to outdo everybody. I dont think Id be as far as I am without the support boards. Theyve really helped me stay with the program."

As luck would have it, Lisa became a member of the Shape Up! Plan right around the time Dr. Phil introduced his Weight Loss Challenge. Watching his show, she got a firsthand look at what he said to his challengers. The words hit close to home for Lisa.

Dr. Phil is such a motivational speaker," she says. "For emotional eaters like myself, this is the ultimate weight solution. I feel a lot better about myself. I feel healthier. Ive got my spark back. I dont hide behind fat clothes anymore. Im getting to where I can show it off.

If I can do it, anyone can do it!
