36. Appetizer Pork Ribs
- 4 Lb spareribs -- cut up
- 1 T salt
- 1 T pepper
- 1 T garlic salt
- 8 Oz Cardini's Caesar Dressing
- 6 Oz Orange Juice
Sprinkle ribs with salt and pepper. Place in crockpot; pour water over them. Cover and cook on low 6-7 hours or until tender. Drain. Arrange ribs on
Broiler pan; sprinkle with garlic salt. Make sauce by combining salad dressing and pineapple juice. Brush ribs with half the sauce. Broil until brown, turn, and brush other side and brown. Makes 8-10 appetizer servings. *If possible ask the butcher to cut each rib in half, crosswise, so they will be a more convenient size to handle the appetizer.
37. Chinese Style Pork Ribs
- 1/4 cup Low Carb Chili Pepper Sauce
- 1/4 cup Low Carb Orange Marmalade
- 2 tablespoons Low Carb Ketchup
- 1 clove garlic -- crushed
- 4 pounds spare ribs
Combine all the ingredients, except the ribs. Brush the sauce over the ribs and place in a crock pot. Pour the remaining sauce over it all. Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 10 hours.
38. Country Style Pork Ribs
- 3 pounds country-style pork ribs
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup Low Carb Ketchup
- 1 medium onion -- chopped
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon pourable sweetener
- 4 teaspoons Low Carb Chili Pepper Sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1 cube beef bouillon
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Place ribs in a slow cooker. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour; reduce heat to low and cook 3-4 hours longer. Remove ribs to serving platter and keep warm. Thicken cooking liquid for gravy. Yield 6 servings.
39. Glazed Pork Ribs
- 2 pounds lean back ribs
- 1 can beef consomme (10 oz)
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 tablespoons Sugar Free Peanut Butter Syrup
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Low Carb Bar-B-Q Sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Place ribs on a broiler rack and broil for 15 minutes. Drain fat off. Cut ribs into serving size pieces. Combine remaining ingredients in the crockpot; stir well. Add ribs; cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours, or on high for 4 to 5 hours. Serves 4.
40. Country Ribs Posole
- 1 pound pork country ribs - (to 1 1/2 lbs)
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 can white hominy
- 1 can yellow hominy
- 1 can whole tomatoes
- 1 garlic clove -- minced
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme
De-bone and cube ribs. Brown pork in oil in skillet. Add onion and sautee. Drain fat. Combine pork, onion and remaining ingredients in crock pot. Cook on low for 5 hours.
41. Crockpot Country Pork Rib Dinner
- 3 lb. Pork country-style ribs cut into serving pieces
- 1/3 c Flour
- 2 tb Oil
- 1 1/2 c Apple vinegar
- 1 c Water
- 1 tb Salt
- 1/2 ts Pepper
- 2 lb. Small zucchinis, cubed
- 16 oz Carrots; cut into 2" pieces
- 1 lg Onion; coarsely chopped
- 1 sm Cabbage; shredded
- 1 ts Caraway seeds
Combine all ingredients in a crock pot. Cook on LOW for 5 hours.
42. Sesame Pork Ribs
- 5 pounds country-style pork ribs
- 2 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 3/4 cup Spoonable Brown Sugar Replacement
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup Low Carb Ketchup
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoon apple or white vinegar
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 tablespoon chopped green onion
In large bowl, combine the ingredients. Cover and cook on
LOW for 6 hours. Serve with sesame seeds and green onion.
43. Barbecued Spare Ribs
- 3 to 4 Lbs. country style spare ribs
- 1 large onion, sliced
- Low Carb Bar-B-Q Sauce
Layer ribs and onion in crockpot. Pour sauce over ribs (after mixing up sauce). Cook on low for hours.
