It’s Time To Start Juicing

If you haven’t heard of the juicing craze, it is time you learned a little bit about it. Juicing has become more and more popular in the last decade and rightly so- it is quite healthy for your body! Juicing consists of taking fresh fruits and vegetables, putting them into a juicer, and letting the juicer squeeze fresh juice out of them. It is so popular because health experts assert that the juice provides excellent nutrients and enzymes for your body.

All you need to juice is a juicing machine and some raw fruit and vegetables. Juicing machines can cost between $30 to more than $200. You do not have to sink a lot of money into your juicer. Plenty of the cheaper models create delicious juice. They work by chopping up the produce into little pieces and then spin the matter extra fast to separate the pulp from the juice. This action causes much of the fiber to get lost in the process, which experts state is alright because this way your body can absorb the nutrients much faster.

Packed Full of Nutrition

Juice is packed full of wonderful nutrition for you! As you drink your juice, your body is receiving plenty of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that nourish your cells. Your cells rejoice when they get to drink in juice from raw fruits and vegetables. The nutrients found in fruits and vegetables have been found to help fight against sickness and disease like heart disease, arthritis, high blood pressure, cancer, and many other ailments. The flavonoids and anthocyanins that are found in fruits and vegetables help fight against oxidative cellular damage.

Get Those Greens

For those of you who don’t necessarily like your green vegetables, juicing is a great way to get the nutrients from them without actually having to taste them. For example, if you juice 1 orange, 1 kiwi, 1 apple, and a handful of broccoli, the taste of the fruit should overpower the taste of the broccoli, so you can actually enjoy getting the nutrients that come from broccoli without a problem. There are plenty of green juice recipes that you can choose from so that you get your adequate dose of vegetables per day.

A Plethora of Recipes

Once you purchase your juicer, the next thing you can do is gather a plethora of juicing recipes so you can try all sorts of juice mixtures. You can find many juicing recipes online for free or you can purchase an eBook or paperback book. It is nice to have a paperback recipe book that you can easily follow as you prepare your fruits and vegetables to juice. You will discover which juices you like better than others and you will also be able to concoct your own delicious mixtures.

Creating a fresh glass of juice each day does not require a lot of time. It will take you about 5 or 10 minutes to wash your produce and cut up the larger pieces, put them in the juicer and let it work its magic, and then rinse off the juicer. That 5 or 10 minutes is well worth your investment in time, as your body is getting a big dose of healthy nutrients with every glass that you drink. Go ahead and become a juice enthusiast!
