There are many ways to know how many calories a day you can have and still lose weight. Here is a rough estimation. It works for those whose weight is stable for at least several months, who doesn't have water retention, who doesn't take water pills, and is not on intensive bodybuilding program.

- Multiply your ideal weight (lb) by 6.22
- Step 2.
- Add 660
- Step 3.
- Multiply your height (in) by 12.7
- Step 4.
- Multiply your age by 6.8
- Step 5.
- Subtract the result of Step 4 from the result of Step 3
- Step 6.
- Add the result of Step 5 to the result of Step 2
The result is how many calories you can consume daily and still lose weight.
